Requirements for Control of Fats, Oils, and Grease
In 2014, the District adopted regulations pertaining to discharge of fats, oils and grease (FOG) into the sewer collection system. Under the regulations, industrial or commercial establishments particularly food preparation and serving facilities, are required to pump the waste out of the grease interceptor every 60 days or oil/water separator every 90 days.
