It’s getting HOT out there! Here are some tips to help you get through the hot summer days ahead.
Stay hydrated. Drink 2-4 glasses of water per hour on very hot days, especially when you are active. Have a glass of water with you at all times and sip or drink frequently. Keep a pitcher of cold water in your refrigerator for refills. It’s best to drink water before you feel thirsty to avoid dehydration.
Take a cool shower or bath to bring down your body temperature.
Limit outdoor activity such as yard work during the heat of the day. Mornings and evenings are best.
Take it easy and be cool!
