Board Meetings

On March 24, 2020, Governor Inslee issued Proclamation 20-28 temporarily prohibiting in-person meetings and contacts with the public that are required by the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA) and the Public Records Act (PRA).

Sammamish Plateau Water remains committed to open and transparent practices. In response to the proclamation, we have adjusted how we will coordinate and provide access to Board of Commissioners’ meetings and public commenting.

The Board meets on the first, second and third Mondays of the month at 3:30 p.m. at the District office. 

 Members of the public are always welcome at our meetings!
  At the beginning of each meeting, there is a public comment period where you can speak for three minutes to share your ideas. ***For remote Board meetings during this time, public comments can be emailed to administration@spwater.org no later than 12 noon the day of the meeting, or given verbally during the public comment portion of the meeting. Instructions on giving verbal comment can be found in the linked PDF guide below.***  

 If you have a longer presentation and need more time, please complete the 
Request to Appear Before the Board and we will put your topic on the agenda for a more detailed discussion.

Accessing remote Board meetings
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic emergency, meetings of the Board of Commissioners are currently being conducted via the Zoom meeting platform. The Board of Commissioners, District staff, and the public are to attend the meeting remotely (unless otherwise required by applicable law).
