On March 16, 2020, Sammamish Plateau Water’s Board of Commissioners formally declared a state of emergency in response to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic. At that time, the Board authorized staff to implement interim billing and collections policies and practices in response to the pandemic.
On April 6, 2020, the Board formally adopted and ratified those interim billing and collections policies, which are now as follows:
Important note: While the District is temporarily discontinuing water shutoffs for non-payment, the District has no jurisdiction over what multi-family complexes (ie. apartments) will do regarding their tenant accounts.
District Commissioners and staff will reassess these interim policies and procedures as situations change, and will make adjustments as necessary.
